Kathrena Halsinger (b. 1968) is an American photographer located in Portland, Oregon. She took her first trip to Berlin in January 1987. She married a West Berliner in 1988 and has travelled to Berlin many times since. This series has been taken as an outsider with a lens of curiosity as she tries to struggle with defining this vibrant, ever-changing and historically important city.
